Another amazing adventure with Tracey H. Kitts! Everytime I read one of this young woman's books, I am transported into her story. I have no idea where she comes up with the tales she weaves, but I am enamored by her abilities.Red is another of her stories written with passion, intelligence and her own unique imagination. It isn't as steamy as her other works, but in this story it isn't necessary. Lilith is a well rounded, conflicted, kick-ass heroine who is as unique as her handler. Her personality pulls at your heart strings and sucks you in immediately.
Normally, I have one or two favorite characters from Tracey's books that I absolutely love more than the others. But in this case, I cannot decide on one favorite...they all have redeeming and endearing qualities. All of them bring something to the story. They aren't simply "filler".
If you want a no nonsense, straight-forward all emcompassing book, Tracey H. Kitts has one for you. Pick any of them and I promise you won't be disappointed, you'll keep coming back for more :)

This book started off a bit slow, but improved in the middle. But then, towards the end, bombed. I totally got angry with the direction the story went & almost put the book up! I really don't like the main character, Lilith. I actually liked Alfred, Eli & Marco. When she gets "involved" with Alfred -& says she's "in love with him", but the minute he leaves for work with her father for a few months, she's off flirting around with Eli & inviting him over & then going back to Marco's bar by herself to pursue him, then spending a week with Marco, this really just turned my stomache. Lilith seemed too immature with a jealous streak & bad temper. Her complaining about the ex-boyfriends who didn't do right by her, but she's no better than the ex-boyfriends in her relationships. Lilth Is only concerned with her self. This character was a total turn off to me. It left me frustrated that I wasted time reading this book. The writing flowed enough to keep me reading for the most part, but had I known it would end the way it did, would not have bothered reading this book. If you like the heroines in your romances to be mature & loyal & endings with HEA's, don't bother reading this. I know I won't bother picking up the remaining 6 books in the series from this author.
Really kept me entertained. The characters were so very different and I really liked the story. I need to get the next book.
Liked it so much bought the seven book series! Would have liked to have all in paperback but couldn't find them all . would have been a great addition to my library. Settled for kindle box set and was very pleased . hot sexy shifter series looking forward to more from Kitts
I enjoyed the read, in fact, I enjoyed it so much I am now starting the second installment. I recommend the book to anyone who loves complicated vampire romance stories.
Lilith is a bad ass chick who can take care of herself. For only being 24, she has gone through a lot. She has a best friend that everyone needs in their life. Then the guys she has chasing after her, I'm like why choose?? Have them all!
Lilith is a werewolf hunter. She and her father were attacked by werewolves some years back when she was a teen. In an effort to save her life she was given an experimental vaccination which stopped her changing fully but gave her some side effects. She now works on Earth (yep more then one planet involved in this world) with a scientist Alfred who is also her "handler/helper" killing rogue werewolves. She should have been killed when infected as a teen which is what is suppose to happen to all who "catch" the disease but her father and Alfred decided to try and save her. Lilith has focused on killing the rogues who are attacking humans.
There is attraction to more then one man and looks like her romantic life which has been a bit dry maybe living up a bit. (and yes the men are drool worthy) Once I finished Red I went right out and bought the rest of the series I could find because I had become invested in the characters. I like the main character Lilith as well as the supporting characters who all bring something to the story. All appear to be well written and I just had to know what happens next to them! This novel is a promising start to a series that has joined my "keepers" for re reading.
This is the second book I've read by this author. Her story-telling is intelligent and original, with my kind of humor thrown in here and there. The dialog seems realistic and in line with her characters. Red has an interesting plot that is not obvious (to me) and I'm ready to start reading the next book in the series. Well done!
